Who Provides This Warranty?

This warranty is exclusively offered to the original purchaser of qualifying repairs and services performed at Howiler Stroud Automotive in Columbus, OH. It is issued by our independent service facility as listed on your original repair invoice. This warranty is honored at participating TechNet-affiliated repair facilities nationwide, ensuring coverage wherever your travels take you.

What Repairs Are Covered?


This warranty covers a variety of essential repairs and services, keeping your vehicle safe and reliable. Covered services include:


  • Brake Service
  • Suspension Repair
  • Steering Alignment
  • Heating & Cooling
  • Engine Diagnostics
  • Transmission Service
  • Electrical Systems
  • Oil Change (as part of a repair or service package, not standalone maintenance)


At Howiler Stroud Automotive, we use high-quality parts and expert craftsmanship to ensure your vehicle operates at peak performance. If a covered issue arises within the warranty period, you can visit any TechNet-affiliated repair facility for service. If a TechNet location is unavailable in your area, you may qualify for reimbursement for repairs completed at a non-participating service provider, provided the repair meets warranty requirements.



Warranty Terms and Conditions


This warranty applies to qualifying repairs from the date of service or the mileage recorded on the repair invoice, whichever occurs first. To maintain warranty eligibility, your vehicle must undergo regular and necessary maintenance. Warranty repair costs will not exceed the original cost of service. If a defect in materials or workmanship is detected, the facility will provide one of the following resolutions:


  1. Perform the necessary repair at no additional cost.
  2. Replace the defective part(s) free of charge.
  3. Refund the original cost of the warranted repair, minus any prior reimbursements.



How to Obtain Warranty Service


To access warranty service, keep your original repair invoice and present it at a participating TechNet repair facility. If returning to the original repair shop is not feasible, contact the Warranty Administrator at 1-866-588-0728 (Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Eastern Time, Saturday: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, excluding U.S. holidays). You will be directed to the nearest authorized location.


If no TechNet-affiliated repair facility is available, you may visit a non-participating service center for warranty service. In such cases, you must pay for the repair upfront and submit both your original repair invoice and warranty repair invoice for reimbursement. Your original documents will be returned upon completion of processing.



What This Warranty Does Not Cover


This warranty does not apply to repairs that fall outside of covered services or if the vehicle has been subjected to the following conditions:


  • Neglect, misuse, or abuse.
  • Damage from accidents, alterations, or tampering.
  • Normal wear and tear of components.
  • Auto body, paint, molding, or glass-related repairs.
  • Repairs on commercial vehicles exceeding 1.5 tons.
  • Standalone routine maintenance such as oil changes, wiper blade replacements, and filter changes.


Additionally, engine, transmission, and drive axle assembly repairs involving internally lubricated components are excluded from coverage. The facility’s employees or representatives are not authorized to alter or expand the terms of this warranty beyond what is stated.



Warranty Coverage for California Residents

California residents are entitled to warranty repairs within the coverage period. If the vehicle is out of service for repairs, the warranty period will be extended for the total number of days the car was unavailable. If warranty repairs do not resolve the issue and are reported within 60 days, the warranty period may be extended. Customers may request replacement parts or a refund, subject to deductions for use.
